Greene County Players Auditions

The Greene County Players ushered in their inaugural season with two well-received productions, “The Dixie Swim Club” and “Dearly Departed,” and are making plans to continue to provide quality theatre for the community.  Due to time constraints and other considerations, the decision has been made to forgo the proposed summer musical production.  However, in order to begin to build a talent pool for future projects, vocal auditions have been scheduled for July 26, 2011.  Interested persons should send an e-mail to gcpmusical@aol.com for further details and to schedule an audition time.

Meet Me at the Plaza outdoor summer concerts in Eatonton

July 30, 7:30 to 10 p.m. Swingin’ Medallions. Join the Party Band of the South and enjoy beach music, frat rock, R&B and shaggin’ music. August 20, 7:30 to 10 p.m. Two Cent Sunday. Two Cent Sunday is new to the Plaza events but not new across the state of Georgia. Lake Oconee Landscape Association has formed to promote professionalism in the green industry, in the lake country. All members of LOLA are required to be licensed, insured and reputable. LOLA members provides services such as; landscape installation, maintenance, lawn and shrub fertilization, weed control, garden centers, all your outdoor needs. The Greene County Toastmasters Club invites everyone who wishes to improve their public speaking ability and increase their confidence to join them. The club meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greensboro (next to the post office). The meeting starts promptly at 6 p.m. Greene County Toastmasters is a chartered member club of Toastmasters International. The mission of the club is to assist members in learning and developing their communication skills. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition-Georgia Chapter will host “Hearts of Teal” the last Tuesday of each month. Survivors of all
