The Oconee Regional Humane Society has declared October as “Adopt an Adult Pet” month.

Puppies and kittens are always popular but a year old or older dog or cat is just as lovable and deserves a forever home too.

Most of the time, they have had a home but for whatever reason, have lost it.

These dogs are house trained, crate trained, spayed or neutered and have had their shots up to date.  and the chewing stage is over!

There is Sandy, Kaya, Shadow, Casper, Samson , Lucy Lu — and more who are waiting to find their forever home.

There are also a number of cats who are young adults (1 to 2 years of age) who have been well socialized in a multi cat situation, have also been spayed, neutered, tested and are up to date with shots.

They are lovable, adorable cats who are ready to become a member of your family.

Betsy , Angel, Sammy, Rudy Boo, Radar and more.

If you would like to open your home and heart and are interested in adopting one of these dogs or cats, please call ORHS at (706) 454-1508.

You can go on line to www.orhspets.org to see pictures and read about these wonderful pets.

ORHS is a non-profit organization and relies entirely on foster homes for their homeless pets that they rescue.
