Patel, Keck honored by Rotary

Nathanael Greene Academy’s Kishen Patel, son of Naresh and Bharti Patel, was honored as Rotary Student for the Month. Patel’s academic and extracurricular accomplishments include receiving the highest school grade point average, receiving the highest class GPA, being named to the Headmaster’s list, receiving Woodmen of the Year Award and receiving the UGA Certificate of Merit Award. His leadership qualities include being president of the Beta Club and vice president of the ninth grade class. Patel’s community service includes helping out in school, participating in canned food drives, assisting with shoeboxes for Christmas and with the Empty Stocking Fund. He plans to either attend UGA, UNC, GA Tech or Duke and become a lawyer.
Greg Keck was honored as Rotary Teacher of the Month. Keck attended Armstrong -Atlantic University and Saint Leo University and received a B.A. in education and an M.A. in theology. He has taught school 29 years, of which eight have been at Nat Greene. He teaches math, science, social studies and coaches softball, basketball and baseball.
