Lake Country Homeschoolers will host a Homeschool Meet and Greet on Thursday, July 16 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lakeside Church on Hwy 44 south of Greensboro. Anyone who is currently homeschooling or interested in homeschooling in Greene, Morgan, Putnam and surrounding areas is invited. Information will be available for those considering home schooling including current state law, names of curriculum providers and other resources for home school families. This is also a great opportunity to meet other home school families in the area, be encouraged and get more information about the Lake Country Homeschoolers support group and activities. Lake Oconee Landscape Association has formed to promote professionalism in the green industry, in the lake country. All members of LOLA are required to be licensed, insured and reputable. LOLA members provides services such as; Landscape installation, maintenance, lawn and shrub fertilization, weed control, garden centers, all your outdoor needs. Green County Toastmasters announces its new summer schedule commencing in July. The meeting schedule is changing to meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month for July, August and September. The meeting is heldin the fellowship building next to the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greensboro startingat 6 p.m.
