On Oct. 26, 100 golfers will ‘tee it up’ at the Harbor Club Golf Course to raise money for Greene County Habitat for Humanity. From noon until 5 p.m., 25 foursomes will play 100 holes (25 per person) of golf. This will be a non-scoring event played in a ‘hit and go’ format. Each team is challenged to raise $4,000 through sponsoring friends/families, personal donations, and fundraising events. Last year, the first place team sponsored a ‘Hoedown for Habitat’ as a successful fundraising event.
The goal is to raise $100,000 to assist GCHFH in eliminating poverty housing within Greene County. These funds will help build two houses at the Greene County Habitat Village ‘New Horizons of Ludwig Place.’ Not only can you enjoy your favorite sport while assisting a worthy cause, you also have a chance to win a golfing vacation at the Atlantis, a World Class Resort in the Bahamas. The team that raises the most money will receive a three-day, two-night vacation package (including two days of golf for each player) at this beautiful resort. This certificate was donated by Paul O’Neil, manager of the Atlantis.
