Downtown Greensboro to host 3rd annual Hop & Shop with Easter Bunny

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Spring is here and the Easter Bunny is coming! The merchants in downtown Greensboro are happy to announce the return of the annual Hop & Shop event on Saturday, April 1, which features a visit from the Easter Bunny as well as other fun activities and treats.
Sponsored by the Greensboro Business Association, the third annual Hop & Shop is an opportunity for the community to kick off the spring season and enjoy all of the beautiful products in each shop in downtown Greensboro. Originally created in partnership with the late Teri Bragg of Yesterday Cafe, the name of the event is a tribute to her legacy which fostered a sense of community between the downtown businesses and residents of Greensboro and surrounding areas.
This year, the Hop & Shop will be bigger and better than ever! On Saturday, April 1, the Easter Bunny will be hopping from shop to shop beginning at 10 a.m. until noon In the afternoon, the Easter Bunny will be in the palm garden behind Lake & Local from 1 to 3 p.m. for pictures. In addition to the Easter Bunny, local merchants will be contributing items for a huge gift basket giveaway. Customers will simply make a minimum purchase (amount determined by each participating merchant) to be entered into a drawing. A winner will be announced the following week.
Lake & Local will be offering craft projects throughout the day in their new DIY studio space, as well as refreshments. Other downtown merchants will also be offering spring specials, showcasing new seasonal products, and sharing refreshments throughout the day.
Participating downtown businesses include J. H. McCommons, Greensboro Antique Mall, Lake & Local, Genuine Georgia, Broad St. and Main Antiques, Maggie Lane, Pinch of the Past, Bonnie’s Coffee Shop & More, and The Pink Stitch, with gift basket prizes from each business as well as Nellie Quiros Photography & Branding and Frank’s Chiropractic Life Center.
Downtown restaurants including Family Ties BBQ, Ripe Thing, Los Torres and The Yesterday Cafe will be open for lunch as well. The community is encouraged to come and spend the day in downtown Greensboro, visit the Easter Bunny, and support small businesses.
