GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Greene County Christmas Stocking Fund (GCCSF) has recently completed another successful year.  

This year food was distributed as well as clothing and toys to 310 children and their families and 240 senior citizens. Additionally, toys were supplied to the Putnam County Fire Department, CASA (foster children) and Circle Of Love.

COVID-19 has affected everyone, some worse than others. There was a major increase in families seeking assistance this year. Fortunately, this is a giving community and records were set this year for toy collections and cash donations! 

Lloyd and Vickie Jenkins, co-chairs, along with board members Targie Folds, Susan Willner, Tonya Miller and Vicky McBride would like to thank the 40 to 50 volunteers who worked to make this another successful campaign.    

There are many churches, businesses and organizations that support the GCCSF by way of cash donations, fund raising, and/or toy collections.

The GCCSF is a not for profit, all volunteer organization and could not achieve this success without the continuous support of volunteers, businesses, churches, organizations and individual donors. Thank you for helping to make Christmas a little brighter for those in our community who are less fortunate.
