Published 8:00 am Thursday, December 3, 2015

Lake Conditions – The main lake is heavily stained/to muddy up the rivers with moderate stain elsewhere except in Richland Creek.

Lake Water Temperature – 65

Largemouth Bass – FAIR – The fish are in the coves and the creeks. The docks, seawalls, rocky banks and shoreline woody structure will produce fish on crankbaits that imitate shad. Spinnerbaits, shaky head worms, Rat-L-Traps and a number of other baits will catch fish now as the fish feed up on shad. With the heavily stained water chartreuse has been the best color for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and crankbaits.

Crappie – GOOD –The crappie are in the brushpiles and underwater timber that is in or near the mouths of coves. Fishing jigs/ minnows over and in the timber and brushpiles at 10-20 feet will catch fish. Trolling continues to get better. Anglers trolling over timber at the mouths of larger coves and in the coves are catching fish.

Striped Bass/White Bass/Hybrid Bass – FAIR –The fish are in the coves and creeks feeding on shad. Jigging spoons and live bait are the best choices now.

Catfish – NO REPORT.
