First Methodist Church of Greensboro-Lake Oconee held its third annual Christmas Artisan’s Winter Market on Saturday, Nov. 9, attracting local shoppers as well as visitors from as far away as Tennessee. The event featured master artisans from the local and surrounding areas, dedicated to crafting high-quality items unique to their trade. This year’s event exceeded expectations, with record-breaking attendance and fundraising to support Youth, Young Adult, and Community Care programs. Many thanks to the over 30 volunteers who continue to contribute their time and talents to this special event. Special thanks also to the Putnam County Middle School chorus and Mended Praise & Worship band for their outstanding performances, and to the Greene County Humane Society for bringing their adorable, adoptable fur babies. It is the church’s deepest desire to serve Christ through the many Christ-centered programs the church has to offer. This event brings the community together in a warm, family-centered tradition that takes us back to a simpler time.
