As a proud member of the Athens, Lake Oconee and Mall of Georgia business communities, Dalton Carpet One Floor & Home will host its sixth annual Teacher Appreciation Event in partnership with Diamond Sponsor Certified Clean Care, Gold Sponsor More Than Blinds, and Bronze Sponsor ALR Designs.

Since its start in 2019, the Teacher Appreciation Event has become a beloved tradition in the Athens and Lake Oconee area, with the addition of their Mall of Georgia location in 2023. What began as a simple act of generosity, utilizing leftover carpet rolls, has blossomed into an annual initiative to support local educators. Each year, Dalton Carpet One cuts carpet into area rug-sized pieces and packs goodie bags filled with essential classroom supplies like markers, pencils, tissues, cleaning products, and dry erase markers to give away to local educators.

The event has grown exponentially over the years, with the 2023 event attracting nearly 300 teachers from 113 different schools. This overwhelming response emphasizes the deep appreciation and anticipation within the community for this event. As Dalton Carpet One continues this tradition, they remain committed to supporting and uplifting the dedicated teachers who play a vital role in shaping the future of our communities. 

This year’s event will be held July 18-19 between the times of 2 to 4 p.m. at their Athens, Lake Oconee, and Mall of Georgia showrooms.

Educators who present their valid Georgia Teacher ID will receive the items on a first-come first-serve basis. There will be an additional giveaway at the event provided by local businesses Dalton Carpet One, Little Light Co., and Love Craft.
