What does this word mean? The word is used so freely

And loosely.

Love has so many different meanings.

  1. A feeling of deep romantic attachment

  2. A deep maternal or paternal love

  3. Childs love for parent or sibling

  1.  Love can also refer to a strong like for something or to like something a lot. (Material things)

Many times, throughout my career I have heard people say, I really love that house. Yes, loving a house is going to be made into a home. Our home is the place we love and enjoy with our loved ones. A place to kick back and relax in a comforting atmosphere. Make your home warm & inviting. A place filled with love and laughter. Memories are made of this.

In this article I would like to reflect on the hurricanes and tornadoes that occurred in the last week. People lost their homes and all their personal belongings. I think about the love they had for their homes and all the memories that were made. But as devastating as it is losing material things, the loss of loved ones cannot be replaced. Death is final. Everything can be replaced, but losing the ones you love will bring sorrow every day until you see them again in Heaven. To have LOVE in your lifetime is a special blessing. Some may never experience it.

Love isn’t always perfect. It isn’t a fairytale or a storybook. And it doesn’t always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together with loved ones. Holding on and never letting go. It is a short word. Easy to spell. Hard to define and impossible to live without. Love is work but most of all realizing that every hour, every minute, every second was worth it because you did it together.

Love has brought hurricane and tornado survivors together, and we see what true love is. Homes and businesses will be built again, but nothing can replace their loved ones.

Keep them in your prayers.

Love will prevail.
