The Elks Lodge 2849 will participate with the Greene County Recreation Center in a Halloween candy giveaway and Drug Awareness Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Greene County Recreation Center.

The Elks Lodge will also be having their annual Soccer Shoot 10 am Saturday, Nov. 2 at The Greene County Recreation Center. This Soccer Shoot is open to Children ages 15 and under. Ages will be verified by birth or Baptismal certificate or by passport to ensure that the contestant competes in the proper age group. Hotdogs and water will be available. Soccer is one of the fastest growing youth activities in the country. The Elks Soccer Program is geared to coincide with this sport phenomenon. From toddlers to teens, in our large urban centers to our small suburban settings, soccer is becoming the sport of choice for our youth. This program is the kind of sporting event to help keep our youth focused and away from undesirable activities.
