Lake Oconee Elks Lodge No. 2849 recently donated $10,000 to area first responders that was raised from the Lake Oconee Chili Cook-Off. A donation was made to Putnam County Fire Rescue, the Madison Police Department, Greene County Public Service Foundation for $3,000 each, and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department for $1,000.
