The Lake Oconee Academy girls soccer team came up just short in the GHSA Class A Division 2 championship match versus Aquinas Tuesday. The Lady Irish of Augusta took home their second consecutive state title by winning the contest 2-1 inside Mercer University’s Five Star Stadium. The loss ended a great run by LOA girls soccer that included three playoff wins by at least three-goal margins.
