Jennifer Vaughan, Realtor with Luxury Lake Oconee Real Estate Group, was unanimously appointed by the majority vote of the Lake Oconee Academy (LOA) Board of Governors to join the board. 

Lake Oconee Academy operates under its own executive board that is instrumental in shaping LOA’s philosophy, vision, and direction. The LOA Board of Governors meets on the first Monday of every month. Meetings are open to the public, and the Board of Governors invites all interested parties to attend monthly meetings. 

“Jennifer has been a loyal supporter of Lake Oconee Academy for many years. She has chaired our annual Tees for Titans charity golf tournament for seven years and has served on the LOA Foundation board. Her leadership and professionalism at LOA were a natural progression to serve on the Board of Governors. Jennifer’s priority is maintaining the best interest of all children and their education. She is not a politician; she is a leader in the community who is well respected. Jennifer will be instrumental in helping us shape the vision of LOA moving forward,” said Mark Lipscomb, chairman of Lake Oconee Academy’s Board of Governors.

Without great education, economic development suffers. I am thrilled to embrace this new role and serve alongside the other LOA Board of Governor members in this capacity.”
