GREENSBORO, Ga. — Thursday, October 20th, the Greene County Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Fishtales as a new Chamber Member with a ribbon cutting event.

Several community members and business leaders attended to celebrate Fishtales and shop, as a percentage of all proceeds benefited Circle of Love, Inc. The Circle of Love Center, Inc. provides direct and support services to victims and their children through residential (shelter) and non-residential services in its five-county area — Greene, Morgan, Putnam, Baldwin and Hancock counties.

Fishtales is owned by Charlie and Elaine Hynes and is best known for being one of the areas leading providers of men, women, teen and children apparel from brand favorites such as Patagonia, Onward Reserve, Free People, Southern Marsh, Elan, and Umgree, just to name a few. In addition, the Hynes support local artisans, providing shoppers with unique items while giving back to the Lake Oconee community. They maintain a large variety of gifts, ranging from personalized jewelry, home decor, and locally handcrafted candles.

“We purchased Fishtales two years ago and it was a wonderful store back then. We have taken something that was already great and have added our personal touch. Last month we donated a percentage of proceeds to the Spencer Bradley Foundation for Mental Health. This month we’ve selected The Circle of Love as the recipient of our Day of Giving,” said Elaine Hynes. “We plan to continue a monthly Day of Giving, selecting a different non-profit each month. This community has been so good to us and this a way that we can give back.”

Fishtales is located at 1001 Village Park Drive: Suite 103, Greensboro, across from Lakeside Church. Store hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about Fishtales, please visit www.fishtales.biz or call 706-453-4497.
