Athens Orthopedic Clinic hosts groundbreaking of new Greensboro facility

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Athens Orthopedic Clinic (AOC) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, April 21, at the building site of their new Greensboro clinical offices on Lake Country Drive, beside Singleton Marine on Highway 44. The public was invited.
The new 23,600 square foot facility will include space for office visits as well as onsite physical therapy and hand therapy.
“This much larger and modern facility will allow us to deliver beRer paSent care,” said Dr. Stephen Johnson, DO, one of three orthopedic surgeons who see patients in the current AOC office on Cowles Clinic Way in Greensboro.
“Athens Orthopedic Clinic is pleased to be expanding our footprint in Greene County,” said Kayo EllioR, AOC chief executive officer. “The additional space will allow us to provide high quality orthopedic care to more patients and provide room to expand our services. We look forward to providing a superior patient experience to all our patients for years to come.”
The new AOC facility is expected to open in early 2024 and is part of an undeveloped 18-acre commercial tract that includes five acres of road frontage.
