Greene County Toastmasters are pleased to welcome Evan Dunnam as the newest member to join their club here in Greensboro.

“I am currently a student at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville and I am majoring in physics,” said Dunnam. “My future goals of right now are a bit vague, but I always find myself leaning towards working in green energy, specifically with solar energy in some capacity, whether that be in developing new and more efficient solar cells or helping design solar panel installations. Thanks to my ties with Dr. Mahabaduge as my research mentor, I was able to learn about Toastmasters through his participation and I immediately thought it sounded like a great idea. I have always wanted to better my public speaking abilities, and from what Dr. Mahabaduge (and all of the Toastmasters I have met since I’ve joined) says, this is a perfect place to do just that.”

Toastmasters is a ‘Learn by Doing’ organization where members proceed at their own pace. Whether you’re new to giving speeches or you are a seasoned speaker, Toastmasters will help you hone your skills with a personal Mentor guiding you. It is open to anyone eighteen or older who is interested in improving their speaking and leadership abilities. We meet the second and fourth Tuesdays, at the Training Room of Lakeside Church, located at 5800 Lake Oconee Pkwy, Greensboro, GA 30642, however the club is currently meeting on a Zoom platform. Guests are always welcomed and encouraged. For more information call president Betty Liedtke at 706-991-5387.
