EATONTON — Lake Oconee’s premier nightlife destination, Cashmere Restaurant & Lounge, recently announced some refreshing changes . The club, known for its casual yet sophisticated ambiance, is offering more than ever before. With new hours, new menus, new management and new entertainment, Cashmere is at Lake Oconee to stay and providing lake area residents and visitors a social experience that’s both enjoyable and affordable.
“When I opened Cashmere eight months ago, I did it with the intention of providing a comfortable, yet grown-up, environment. I would often hear my friends say, ‘There really isn’t anywhere for adults to go to have dinner and make an evening of it around here.’ I am a huge supporter of the arts and my goal was to provide a place where entertainment and having fun were the focus,” said Cashmere owner, Lydia Ivanditti.
Cashmere is quickly gaining popularity, with customers rating their burgers as ‘the best on the lake’ and new selections that lean heavily on snacks and bar food with nightly dinner specials. New hours went into effect Sept. 2, when they will open Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 10:30 a.m. for brunch and football. New entertainment features will include poker nights, bluegrass and karaoke.
“I am also pleased to announce Matthew Shields as my new general manager and Mike McKelvey is returning to be our head cook,” said Ivanditti.
“I really appreciate having Cashmere at the lake,” said Dan Howington, lead singer for the local band, Blind Driver. “Lydia is passionate about what she has created at Cashmere. She genuinely wants to provide a great experience for every person who walks through the door. I have had the privilege to play with my band at Cashmere and it was a great time. My wife and I have also come in on several occasions just for a fun evening out and have yet to be disappointed. We are looking forward to enjoying the line up of entertainers Lydia has in store for us for the next several weeks.”
K.B. Travis, host of the “Wake Up Service” on DOCK 103.9 and co-founder of CTW, a premiere rock-n-blues band, had this to say about Cashmere, “Cashmere is big enough to be social, small enough to be intimate and has by far the best atmosphere in the lake area to entertain and be entertained.”
