Greensboro, Ga. — On Saturday, Feb. 3, the Rotary Club took 71 deserving students from Greene and Putnam Counties on a special trip to Shoe Carnival in Augusta, Georgia, where they had the opportunity to select a brand-new pair of school shoes, a stylish backpack, and a cozy pair of socks. Rotarians, other volunteers, and staff of Shoe Carnival were on hand to help with these selections. In addition, shoes were purchased for threespecial-needs children who were unable to attend. The shoes were delivered to these students after the event.
While on the bus ride to Augusta, the students were treated with chicken biscuits and drinks compliments of Chick-fil-A Lake Oconee.Shoe Carnival once again opened the store exclusively for the Shoes 4 Kids project and offered additional discounts and snacks. Their staff was attentive and reliable and were happy to be a part of this program.
