Christmas season is upon us, and I would like to wish everyone a blessed and safe Christmas.
I think everyone today can appreciate owning a home.
That house of wood and concrete that was a house became your home. The home that you will live, love, laugh and learn in. Your home is where you leave your hair down and find contentment. Home is where you will make memories and give your children and grandchildren memories that will last forever. Hopes, wishes and dreams will be made in your home and will make us what we are today. A home will ground your memories. How true the saying is “Home is Where the Heart Is.”
But today, there are so many people who do not have a home to live in or a home to go to. Poverty causes homelessness.
So, my dear readers, if you are fortunate to have a home and loved ones to share your home with, count your blessings.
Christmas is a time of giving. Remember those who have lost loved ones this year and may be lonely. Remember all those who are homeless, and always remember the true meaning of Christmas. Thank the Lord above for all the gifts we have.
This will be my first Christmas without my best friend and husband of 60 years. But in my sorrow, I thank God every day for the beautiful years He gave me. Many will never see that many years of love. Give Thanks.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The magic of Christmas never ends and its greatest gifts are family and friends. (JPNotebooks)
