Lake Country Chorus auditioning for Christmas show

We NEED a Little Christmas!” Yes, you read that right – it may be only June but after an interminably long COVID-induced hiatus, The Lake Country Chorus – formerly the Reynolds Chorus – will begin rehearsals in late summer for a Christmas concert, the first concert since December 2019.

The Lake Country Chorus has been entertaining the Lake Country for 20 years, from Easter sunrise services to patriotic gatherings; shows running the gamut from Broadway to country western and celebrating a century of the musical styles of America.

By far, the most popular offering of the chorus has been its annual holiday music presentations with themes as varied as “Christmas Movie Magic” and “Christmas Around The World,” incorporating secular and sacred selections and even a visit from Santa! “We NEED a Little Christmas” will be presented Dec. 9 and 10 at the First United Methodist Church, south campus, in Greensboro.

The chorus is currently auditioning new members for all voice parts and is open to any resident of any age who resides in the Lake area. The chorus is a non-professional group of varied backgrounds whose common denominator is their love of choral music and are directed and accompanied by music professionals.

If you enjoy singing, please consider joining us and contact Melanie Schultz at rometavo@aol.com with questions or to schedule an audition. The chorus plans to begin auditions in June and rehearsals in August.
