Reynolds Lake Oconee announces Fourth Quarter Employee Awards

GREENSBORO – Reynolds Lake Oconee is proud to announce the recipients of its Fourth Quarter Employee Awards for 2016. Wes Forester, Head Golf Professional at Creek Club, has been named Leader of the Quarter while both Peachez Peek, Reynolds Concierge Administrative Assistant, and Debra Somers, Closing Coordinator at Reynolds Plantation Properties, have been named Employees of the Quarter.

Before discovering Reynolds over 12 years ago, Wes Forester worked as the Head Golf Professional in The Members Club at Four Streams in Maryland. While his transition to Reynolds was similar, Forester says his favorite aspect of his current role is the people.

“I interact with so many people every day, from members and guests to coworkers,” says Forester. “Each day is different and presents unique challenges, but the people remain consistently great, making coming to work easy.”

Forester enjoys being active and spending time outdoors with his family, wife Patsy, their two sons, Ethan and Luke, and dog, Khloe. Forester is also an active member of PGA of America.

Peachez Peek worked as a Guest Services Representative at Port Armor, an Administrative Assistant at Athens Technical College, and a Motivational Circuit Trainer at Curves for Women before joining the Reynolds Concierge team nearly 13 years ago. Peek often reflects on how the community has developed over the years, transforming from just a place of superior golf, to one of family enjoyment and a great getaway.

“I enjoy communicating with our members on a daily basis,” says Peek.  “Welcoming them from all over the world to experience Reynolds Lake Oconee and the lifestyle it provides is such a pleasure.”

When not making reservations or booking tee times, Peek enjoys traveling, singing, cardio dancing, and shoe shopping. She also has a passion for giving back and helping others make their dreams a reality through organizations like New Springfield Girls, Inc., Traveling Divas, and Forbidden Fruit Dance Group.

Prior to her career at Reynolds, Debra Somers spent 13 years in Athens, GA before moving northwest to Seattle, WA to be closer to family, where she worked as a contracted employee for Microsoft. Eventually she wanted to get away from the city congestion and moved back “home” to Georgia.  Somers joined the real estate team in 2000 and still enjoys the calming experience of entering Reynolds every day, observing the pristine surroundings of the community.

“My position allows me to meet and interact with many different kinds of people-buyers, sellers, loan officers, attorneys and their assistants, inspectors, surveyors, and sales executives, just to name a few,” says Somers. “I’ve learned a great deal from every individual and appreciate the benefits and knowledge these ongoing interactions have added to my overall position.”

In her free time, Somers enjoys watching her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves, cooking, and traveling. Her hobbies also include gardening, both indoors and outdoors, visiting her daughter in Atlanta and son in Athens, as well as spending quality time with her boyfriend and five cats.
