Andrea Cassell conducts writers workshop
Aspiring children’s book authors enjoyed a Writers Workshop on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Georgia Writers Museum in downtown Eatonton. Local author Andrea Cassell was one of four panelists who addressed the attendees on writing, illustrating and publishing children’s books.
Cassell shared her journey, and creative process and advised those who want to pursue writing children’s books. She was well received with much praise and each participant received a Kibby goodie bag.
Reynolds resident Diane Byers attended the workshop.
“I spent the day learning how to write a children’s book from the very best! My grandchildren love Andrea’s books about her dog named “Kibby” and how he handles situations in life,” she said.
Cassell is a three-time recipient of the Mom’s Choice-Gold Award as well as the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award. Her three delightful books are Kibby the Space Dog, Kibby Gets a Little Sister, and Kibby and Olive Move to Georgia. Each book teaches life lessons as seen through the eyes of Kibby.
