Rotarian attends RLI
Margie Eddy-Forbes, a member of the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties, attended training at the Rotary Leadership Institute. She was joined by three Rotarians from District 6910 and one Rotarian from District 6920 to complete Discussion Leadership training at the RLI Sunshine Divisions workshop in Dublin, Ga.
In order to become certified as a trainer, Rotarians must complete three phases of the Rotary Institute, attend a training workshop, complete a mock training session and be recommended by an evaluator. Each certified trainer will be expected to teach all facets of the Institute Curriculum.
The mission of the Rotary Leadership Institute is to provide an educational opportunity for Rotarians identified as potential leaders by their club president. Each Rotary Club is asked annually to nominate club members as potential club leaders in the years ahead. RLI allows Rotarians to understand about the exciting world of Rotary with its 1.2 million members in 164 countries. Leadership skills in a voluntary organization are often different from business leadership skills, thus RLI help to insure future Rotary leadership has the best possible skills.
