Pathways seminar to focus on how to stay healthy, injury free

Pathways to Healing has partnered with Impact Golf Training Center to present a special three-session course for golfers to help them prepare for the upcoming season.

The course will offer advice on how to stay healthy and injury free, specifically focusing on the upper body, the lower body, and the mental and nutritional aspects of the game.  Dr. Ramona Warren and Dr. Justin Lance will offer tips on improving flexibility and preventing injury, as well as specific exercises and nutritional advice to help improve performance on the course.  Impact Golf owner and PGA teaching pro Chuck Little will offer his tips on swing mechanics and putting technique. Professional counselor and certified personal trainer Dr. Donna Eaton will focus on the mental aspects of golf, specifically showing how the wrong thoughts can negatively impact one’s game.

Classes will be held at Impact Golf in Greensboro on Tuesday, Feb. 15; Tuesday, Feb. 22 and Tuesday, March 1.  Light hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine will be served at 6 p.m. Classes will start at 6:30 p.m. and last until 7:30 p.m.  There will be door prizes at each session, as well as a Closest to the (Virtual) Pin Contest.

The cost is $15 per class.  Participants interested in registering in advance for all three sessions will receive a discounted rate of $25 for all three classes. Space is limited, so please call the Pathways to Healing office at (706) 454-2040 to register.  Reservations for the first class must be made no later than Monday, Feb. 14.
