Harbor Club Ladies learn to put their best face forward

A crowded room greeted special guest and speaker, Dr. Cesar Gumucio of the Moore Center in Athens, as vice president Terri Ligon introduced him to the Harbor Club Ladies League at their February meeting.

 Dr. Gumucio is an American Board Certified Plastic Surgeon practicing in Athens and Eatonton.  The Dr. and his assistant, RN Tiffany Hudak, were there to enlighten the ladies on the latest innovations in non-invasive surgery procedures and skin care, noting that the number one cause of premature aging in women is the sun, and how important it is to use a sunscreen protection at all times.  

He also acquainted them with the uses of Botox, Juv’ederm and Restlyn and the “mini face-lift”.  

Co-presidentPatti Monteleone presided over the business meeting.

Activities Committee chairman Debbie Burns updated members on plans to visit the Scott Antiques Market in Atlanta in March and that plans for the trip to St. Augustine in April are being finalized.

Danelle Borland, Outreach Committee co-chair, reported that the Guys and Gals Card/Game Party raised more than $2,000.00 for local charities.  

Lindy Williams announced that the March meeting will be held at the Harbor Club Carriage House.  The program theme is, “Show and Sell”, with members bringing arts, crafts and items of interest for members to browse and buy.

The meeting concluded with drawings for door prizes, won by: Patsy Berryman, Dale Fahey, Linda Huenink, Leigh Lofgren, Kathy Moody, Bev Oram, Judy Stultz and Millicent Zamirowski.
