Louie Seabolt, Jane Hutterly support Heart & Soul Gala
GREENSBORO, Ga. – November 1, 2019 – St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital is proud to welcome longtime hospital supporters and community advocates Louie Seabolt and Jane Hutterly as sponsors for the 2020 Heart & Soul Gala that will be held on Feb. 1.
The husband and wife team came to Greene County almost nine years ago after retiring from more than 30 years of executive leadership positions in Wisconsin.
Louie serves as Chair of Good Samaritan Hospital’s Expanding Technology, Elevating Care Capital Campaign and is currently vice-chair of the Foundation Board of Directors. Jane is a Greene College and Career Academy coach, serves on the Lake Oconee Academy Foundation Board, and is a past-member of the Oconee Performing Arts Society board. Both previously served as mentors at Georgia College and State University.
“Access to quality medical practitioners and facilities is essential to a good quality of life, and Good Sam delivers on both,” Louie says.
“We knew before we moved here that a new hospital was planned and it was an important consideration before making our decision,” says Jane. “We believe in supporting Good Sam so that everyone can benefit from its services.”
The fact that the 2020 Heart & Soul Gala will benefit the Expanding Technology, Elevating Care Capital Campaign made sponsorship especially appealing to the couple. The campaign aims to raise $3 million to expand the current building, add a permanent MRI suite; upgrade the CT scanner to an ultra-fast, state-of-the-art model, and create a dedicated cardiac stress lab, which currently shares space with Good Sam’s nuclear medicine system. The expansion will dramatically improve cardiac and stroke services available locally.
“Louie and Jane are wonderful people whose passion for Good Samaritan Hospital and the greater Greene County community is inspiring,” says Riezl Baker, Foundation Board Chair and gala committee member. “Through Louie’s outstanding service on our Foundation board, I’ve gotten to know them well. Together, they are helping to raise the quality of local healthcare even higher, and we are eternally grateful.”
