PGH nurse recognized as G.R.E.A.T. Ambassador

Rebecca Croft, RN, has been named Putnam General Hospital’s G.R.E.A.T. Ambassador. Created by the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA), this designation celebrates and showcases the commitment and caring that hospital employees bring to their job, community, and to the Georgia healthcare industry. The G.R.E.A.T. Ambassador program, which stands for Giving Recognition for Excellence, Advocacy, and Teamwork, provides hospital employees the opportunity to tell their personal stories about how they chose a health care profession, why they like their job, and that they like about working for their hospital.

Croft is a registered nurse who works in the emergency room at Putnam General. She is an extremely caring and committed individual.

“Rebecca is an ideal recipient for Putnam General’s G.R.E.A.T. Ambassador recognition,” said Darrell Oglesby, Administrator at Putnam. “She represents everything Putnam General Hospital stands for: putting the patient first.”

Each hospital employee, not just caregivers, was invited to submit a story to their human resources department. The essays were personal stories explaining what being a health care employee has meant to them. All ambassadors receive a recognition certificate and pin from GHA.

Questions about the event should be directed to Heather Thrift, Public Relations Director, at (706) 923-2028.
