Luxury Lake Oconee Real Estate Group welcomes new team member

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Luxury Lake Oconee Real Estate Group  is pleased to announce the newest member of its team, Betty McHan.

As a frequent visitor to Georgia’s lake country for several decades, McHan always knew she would eventually make Reynolds Lake Oconee her permanent residence.

While maintaining her real estate license in the State of Georgia for many years, McHan enjoyed a successful career in customer service and project management experience for several large telecommunications companies including ITT, Nortel Networks and BellSouth. Betty has also owned and operated a small business in the Health Wellness and Fitness industry for many years.

Prior to moving to Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee, McHan lived most of her life in the suburbs of Atlanta — specifically the Duluth areas of Berkeley Lake, Sugarloaf Country Club and most recently in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.

“I’m very happy that I moved to Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee. My favorite part about living here is the people. Everyone is so welcoming,” she said.

An avid tennis player, Betty was pleased to find a very active Lake Oconee tennis community, “The very first time I signed up for a tennis clinic, I was immediately connected to so many new friends. I also enjoy golf, although I am a much better spectator than player.”

Another important reason for Betty to relocate to Lake Oconee, was the opportunity to spend quality lake time with family. Her daughter, Ashley, her husband, Jeff, and granddaughters, Jayne and Lola, live in Johns Creek, Ga., and have a home on Lake Oconee.

Betty enjoys giving back to her community. Some of her worthy causes include the Stewart Cink Charities Board, Bellsouth Atlanta Classic Golf Tournament, Gwinnett County public schools and Buckhead Church.

“We are excited to add such a skilled professional to our team,” added Ted Baker, managing broker of Luxury Lake Oconee. “Betty is an active member of our community and brings a host of experience from the corporate world delivering a high level of service.”
