The Hampton Fine Art Gallery opens its new show, “The Grandeur Juried Artist Intermational Exhibition, 2011,” opens Thursday, March 3 and runs through March 31. The reception and awards reception will be held Saturday, March 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the gallery, located at 115 E. Broad St., Greensboro. The Point of Art Gallery’s first pop-up show for 2011, “A Burst of Spring…” features local Greensboro artist, Paula Lansford. The show will run Friday through Sunday, March 18, 19 and 20 with Paul in attendance from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. She will be happy to chat with you about her art, her inspiration and her style — she’ll also be painting so you can watch her work! The Madison Artists Guild hosts an art talk, “Calculations: What Could be Painting?” on Tuesday, March 15, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. by Richard Olsen. This event is free and open to the public.
