Lake Country Team Pickleball Tournament held

The Blue Pickleholics were the winners of the second annual Lake Country Team Pickleball Tournament at the Greene County Recreation Center.  

The Purple Pickle-Eaters won silver and the Green Pickle-Machine won Bronze. Thirty-six players from across the county competed in the three-day indoor event last week.  Tery Wilcoxson and Peter Chapman were high point medalist on Day 1, Sam Torrence and Kimbra Anderson were high point on Day 2, and Torrence won high point for the Tournament.   

The tournament raised $500 for the recreation center programs for youth and adults, according to tournament director Ray Brindley.     

The Greene County Recreation Center has three indoor courts with open play on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m. to noon.
