Knights of Columbus charity raffle for Greene, Putnam & Hancock Counties underway

The Knights of Columbus, Pope John Paul II Council 13808, in Greensboro, kicked off their annual charity raffle on Aug. 1 to support local charities in Greene, Putnam &and Hancock Counties. This marks the 11th year for the charity raffle with over $449,000 raised in support of various charities in the tri-county area. Jimmy Britt Chevrolet/Buick/GMC will once again be the Charity Raffle’s Presenting Sponsor.

The grand prize is $12,000 toward a 2two-year vehicle lease from any Jimmy Britt Dealership or $10,000 cash. There are also six (6) additional prizes of $200 cash and four (3) non-cash prizes valued at over $300 each. With only 400 tickets being sold, the odds of winning are very good. Proceeds from ticket sales go to charities supported by the Knights of Columbus including:

Athens Technical College Foundation, Atlas Ministries, Circle of Love, First Call Pregnancy Center, FERST Foundation (Greene, Putnam &and Hancock) , Greene and Putnam Food Pantries, Community in Schools , The Victory Train, Greene, Jasper &and Putnam Special Olympics , Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club, Putnam Jasper Support Group Putnam County Resources (Lifesource), Habitat for Humanity – Greene and Putnam , Greene County H.S. Wrap Around Program and Hancock Food Bank (Helping Hands).
