Jerry Fowler has joined LoanSouth, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BankSouth, as Vice President of Mortgage Services-Lake Oconee.  He is responsible for overseeing loan officers who offer conventional home loans, FHA Loans and VA Loans as well as a wide array of products that serve jumbo loan customers and first time homebuyers in the Lake Oconee area.

Fowler joins LoanSouth from Fidelity Mortgage where he was Vice President of Mortgage Services. With more than seven years of real estate and mortgage experience, he also is a graduate of Capstone Institute of Mortgage Finance.  Prior to Fidelity, he was Sales Manager for Homeowners First Financial Corporation.

Fowler is actively involved with the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR), the Lake Country Board of Realtors (LCBR), the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) and Habitat for Humanity.  He received the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia Platinum Award in both 2009 and 2010, the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia Gold Award twice, as well as the President’s Award and Future Leader award.

 He also served on the 2007 Board of Atlanta Women’s Council of Realtors and was the 2009 Lake Country Board of Realtors Affiliate of the year.  He has been named a Who’s Who of American Business Leaders for four consecutive years.
