New executive chef named for Linger Longer
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation has appointed David White the executive chef of Linger Longer Steakhouse, which recently reopened with a newly rebuilt and redesigned space at the adjacent Oconee Golf Course Clubhouse. White was most recently part of the opening team at the 5,600-square-foot Linger Longer Steakhouse as the chef de cuisine.
“David played a key role in the much-anticipated reopening of Linger Longer Steakhouse, and we are excited to have him transition to top toque as we gear up for a delicious fall season,” says Ralph Vick, general manager for The Ritz-Carlton Lodge. White takes charge of the contemporary American menu featuring Black Angus steaks and seafood cooked over 100 percent Georgia hardwoods.
Prior to Linger Longer Steakhouse, White was the kitchen supervisory at Georgia’s Bistro, The Ritz-Carlton Lodge’s signature dining venue. He was previously the executive chef at Royal Palm Café and Inn in Forsyth, Ga., and at the City Club of Macon in Georgia. He also cooked and trained new kitchen line staff for two years at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, and was the executive sous chef at the River Club of Jacksonville, both in Florida.
Linger Longer Steakhouse at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation offers a menu of updated steakhouse classics along with striking views of Oconee Golf Course, an expansive oval-shaped bar, a full-height stone fireplace, alfresco dining on a 38-seat patio and a lively open kitchen.
