Harbor Club Ladies learn how to stay fit

The Harbor Club Ladies League opened the first meeting of the New Year with a ‘Fitness Over Fifty’ program designed to help them stay fit and healthy.

Maureen Brower, exercise and Zumba instructor, shared tips and simple exercises that can be done at home, even while watching your favorite TV show. She also generously offered to meet with anyone who would like to learn how to use the equipment in the Harbor Club fitness center.

Jennie Folsom opened the meeting by welcoming members and introducing new members Susan Hefner and Donna Wills. She also thanked Debbie Cherry and Kathy Kurelic for chairing the ‘fabulous and fun’ Christmas Party. She also reported that the nominees for the 2019-2020 Board will be announced at the February meeting.

Terry Subacz informed the ladies of upcoming events in the area.  She also reminded the ladies to sign up for the Ladies League visit to the DeKalb International Farmers Market Jan. 25.

Pam Luke will be discussing “Quality of Life — What Is It & How Do We Get It?” at the February meeting on the 19th.

Maureen Brower donated four fitness lessons as door prizes, winners were, Patricia Balduff, Kathi Rivers, Juliette Shivers and Terry Subacz.
