15 Years Strong: Celebrating the success of the Tees for Titans Golf Tournament

GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Lake Oconee Academy Foundation (LOAF) 15th Annual Tees for Titans Golf Tournament was a resounding success. The event took place Sept. 30at the renowned Reynolds Lake Oconee National and Oconee Golf Courses. The event brought together golfers of all skill levels for a day filled with competition, camaraderieand community spirit to support Lake Oconee Academy’s (LOA) educational programs and initiatives.

This year’s event not only expanded in scale and success, but also left a profound mark on the community. By extending the competition to two golf courses, the 15th Annual Tees for Titans welcomed an even larger group of eager participants, advancing the cause and fostering new opportunities for meaningful connections and collaborations. Attendees were treated to lunch generously provided by Chick-fil-A Lake Oconee and the LOA Parent Teacher Committee (PTC), adding a tasty highlight to the day. LOAF extends its heartfelt gratitude to Reynolds Lake Oconee and their exceptional staff for their unwavering support and commitment, which played a key role in making this event an extraordinary success.

After an exhilarating day out on the course, participants were invited to unwind at the exclusive BankSouth Cocktail Reception held outside of The National Tavern. They were immersed in a vibrant atmosphere filled with live music, lively lawn games, and a variety of food trucks serving up delicious bites, all paired with refreshing beverages. The evening’s culinary delights were made possible by generous food sponsors: 5 B’s Barbecue and Brews, Lake Oconee Church, and On The Run Catering, who turned the reception into a truly mouth-watering experience. To top it all off, The Oconee Cellar ensured that glasses were never empty as the proud beverage sponsor of the evening.

LOAF would like to extend special thanks to the 2024-2025 Titan Strong Title Sponsors: Affinity Outdoor Living, Juturna Waterand The Executives Private Offices/TCB Storage as well as to BankSouth for their generous support as this year’s Cornerstone VIP Cocktail Sponsor.

Director of the LOAF, Kendra Van Mol, expressed her gratitude: “We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community and our sponsors. Tees for Titans continues to grow year after year, allowing us to provide essential resources for LOA students. We are thrilled with the success of this year’s event and look forward to continuing to positively impact every student’s educational experience.”

The success of the Tees for Titans Golf Tournament would not have been possible without the support of incredible sponsors, participants, and volunteers whose contributions are deeply appreciated and have made a significant difference in the lives of all LOA students. This success not only reaffirms LOAF’s commitment to supporting the academic excellence and personal growth of LOA students, but also paves the way for even more impactful events in the future.
