Knights of Columbus Host Annual Charity Brunch

The annual Knights of Columbus Charity Brunch was held on April 23rd at the Reynolds Lake Club.  The Charity Brunch is an event which recognizes the charitable works of a variety of selfless organizations in Greene, Putnam, and Hancock Counties.  The Knights of Columbus donates financial assistance annually to the organizations in support of their charitable works.  Each organization gave a brief update of their mission and how the donation will help their service efforts.  The organizations who were recognized are:

Circle of Love

Hancock County Food Pantry (Helping Hands)

First Call Pregnancy Center

Grand Knight Ken Weber served as Master of Ceremonies.  Weber said “inspiring stories of service from these great organizations renew our dedication to care for our brothers and sisters in need”.  Visiting Knights of Columbus dignitaries included Mark McMullen, Georgia State Deputy and District Deputy Wally Marcis.

  

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization with more than 1.9 million members.  Locally, the Pope John Paul II Council, located at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, has 179 members and serves Greene, Putnam, and Hancock counties.  For more information, please visit www.knights-13808.org.
