Publix donates $17,000 with Food for Sharing campaign
In the last half of 2019, Publix conducted two different Food for Sharing campaigns to help fight hunger. Together with the communities support, the campaign raised more than $17,000.
Customers were presented with three levels of giving at the register. The monies raised were used to purchase food. The food included tuna, peanut butter and jelly, green beans, macaroni and cheese and stew and more. These products were donated to the Greene County Food Pantry. “Publix has been a tremendous supporter of the Greene County Food Pantry. Thank you to Ever Vega, Jason Smith and the entire Publix team for their leadership” stated Becky Smith, President of the Food Pantry Board
