Twillers show skills
The Lake Country Twillers demonstrated their square dance skills entertaining the crowd at Freedom Festival on July Fourth. That was until Caller, Dan Mitchell brought the audience on stage for impromptu lessons. They caught on quickly and had a fun time dancing with club members.
Square Dancing is the official Folk Dance of the State of Georgia with a long tradition of providing wholesome entertainment. Young and old alike are welcome to participate in this exciting and friendly activity that requires teamwork and cooperation.
Square dancing is friendship set to music. That is demonstrated most every Thursday night 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Harmony Association building on Highway 44 when Lake Country Twirlers hone their skills. New classes will start Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come by, meet members, enjoy refreshments and see what all the fun is about. Call (706) 468-5090 for more information.
Plan a visit on July 19th and relive your ole sock hop days. Word is Peggy Sue is planning to show up in her poodle skirt or pedal pushers.
