Memorial Day Weekend welcomes summer and fun on Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair. Residents will see some changes around the lakes as Boats with Gusto has joined the Singleton Marine Group.

Singleton Marine Group owns the Plantation Marine Dealership, which is well known for its Cobalt, Hurricane and Harris pontoon lines. Plantation Marine has moved its location to the Boats with Gusto site at 5820 Lake Oconee Parkway, just north of the Spotlight Theaters and Publix shopping center.

The Singleton Marine Group is a family-owned marine group with dealerships stretching from Alabama to Georgia and South Carolina.

In 1989, they started out in Alabama as a small family marina on Lake Martin.

Boats with Gusto started as a Jet Boat only dealer in 2001 on Lake Oconee.

The business grew to become the largest Jet Boat dealer in the southeast, carrying Sea Doo Jet Boats and Sea Doo Watercraft.  In 2006 Boats with Gusto moved to its current location, and in addition opened the Lake Welcome Center and Gusto Mini-Golf.

“Boats with Gusto had been approached by other dealerships, but the Singleton Marine Group is the first that had the same focus on service, customers and family,” said owner Reggie Gustafson.

Joining the Singleton Marine Group helps us offer a larger array of new and used boats while continuing to offer the Hobie Kayaks, Sea Doo Boats and Sea Doo personal watercrafts.

The new Singleton Marine location will be home of the No. 1 Sea Doo Sport Boat dealer in the southeast, the No. 1 Harris Pontoon dealer, a top five Cobalt dealer nationally and a Boating Industry Top 100 Dealer.

“I am excited that Singleton Marine Group will be located at Boats with Gusto, and I am eager to work with Reggie and his staff. Our improved location can offer our new and existing customers a bigger and better selection of products,” said Darrin Phenix, general manager of Plantation Marine.

The Singleton Marine Group at Boats with Gusto will celebrate the Memorial holiday with a big Memorial Weekend sale on Saturday with new and used boats. The staff will be offering hot dogs, chips and soda, while giving away free gifts throughout the day. Everyone is invited to stop by Saturday

for a family cookout and view their products on sale.
