PGH Auxiliary donates to flu drive
The Putnam General Hospital Auxiliary is a wonderful group of committed volunteers that, year after year, give back to the hospital in more ways than one. One such way is by donating the funds for the annual flu drive, held in October of each year. On Wednesday, Sept. 22, Tony Franklin, president of the PGH Auxiliary, presented Darrell Oglesby, administrator of Putnam General Hospital, with a check for $8,500.
“We are so thankful for the volunteers in the Auxiliary and truly appreciate the work that they do for this hospital and this community,” said Darrell Oglesby, hospital administrator. “The annual flu drive is one way that PGH gives back to the community, and that would not be possible without the PGH Auxiliary.”
The annual “Drive Thru to Stop the Flu” will be on Saturday, Oct. 23, beginning at 9 a.m., in the front parking lot of Putnam General Hospital. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Dodson at (706) 923-2028 or visit the hospital website at www.putnamgeneral.com.
